Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a process that uses tiny, sharp needles to create a microscopic wound in the skin that induces collagen renewal and reparative processes. It has become exceedingly popular due to its easy accessibility, low cost relative to other procedures for wrinkles, scars, and overall texture of the skin, excellent safety, and low downtime.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Eclipse MicroPen uses a sterile needle-tip containing 12 microneedles to create controlled microscopic injuries to the skin. The treatment initiates the skin’s repair process to naturally produce collagen and elastin, ideal for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks. The Eclipse MicroPen treatments can be performed on all parts of the body: face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back. The procedure is performed by our licensed aesthetician and takes from 15-60 minutes depending on the treatment area. We will numb the area one hour prior to your appointment with a topical anesthetic to help reduce any discomfort that you may experience.

Micro-needling + PRP are two procedures that harness the body’s natural tissue renewal process to strengthen, renew and regenerate cells. When combined, the skin rejuvenation treatment can help your skin look smoother, tighter and brighter.

You will be pink immediately post treatment and have about two days of “social” downtime. The Eclipse MicroPen treatment is ideal for all skin types. A series of 5-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results; however, each treatment will induce some collagen remodeling and microneedling can be used for ongoing skin rejuvenation maintenance.
